Honolulu’s newest destination, the Battleship Missouri Memorial was moved to Pearl Harbor last year. It is the ship where the Japanese surrendered to end World War II. Visitors reach the “Big Mo” by shuttle from the USS Bowfin Memorial to the pier on Fond Island.
Visitors can wander “Big Mo’s” 887-foot decks, view the nine big guns that became its signature feature as well as the flying bridge, which offers a panoramic view of Pearl Harbor. Contact USS Missouri Memorial Association Inc, Box 6339, Honolulu HI 96818; 888-877-6477; www.ussmissouri.com.
