Extracted from Merriam-Webster: 1 : an act of coming or bringing together again after being apart… 2 : an organized gathering of people who have not been together for some time…
In “normal” times, getting together is a wonderful way to stay connected, to catch-up, to reminisce, to make new memories, and to celebrate what’s most important – family and friends!
In “abnormal” times, staying connected is much more challenging – technologically if staying distant – and all-the-more important when we get back together. We’ve all suffered a lot: loneliness, emotional stress, and the loss of loved ones due to the pandemic or not. We’ve not been able to enjoy life’s simple pleasure of handshakes, hugs and kisses. Or to grieve and to be together during these trying times.
Reunions will be more important than ever as we get our lives back in the “new normal”.
