At one time or another everyone gets an invite to a class reunion. Perhaps you are even in charge of organizing a gathering or have been tapped to serve on the planning committee. Whether it is for primary grades, high school, or college, a class reunion can provide a great opportunity to reconnect with long-lost friends and reminisce. Here are three ways to rock your reunion.
1. Scour for old photo and memorabilia. Check those storage boxes for photographs from your school days. Once you find them, sort and organize them by year or class and take notes trying to remember who is in them and what was happening at the time (field trips, sports, prom, class picnic, graduation, etc.). Select some to have enlargements and banners made using https://www.vivid-pix.com/prints so you can take to the reunion. Perhaps you also still have your football or basketball letter jacket or memorabilia from clubs, homecoming celebrations, etc. You can take photos of these items, so you don’t have to take them with you to the event.
2. Search for your yearbook. If you received a yearbook and saved it this is a great way to take a trip down memory lane. Flip through the pages and then make a list of the activities you participated in. If you don’t have your yearbook, search online. Subscription websites such as Ancestry https://www.ancestry.com, or MyHeritage https://www.myheritage.com have collections of digitized versions from many (not all) high school and/or college yearbooks. Or perform a Google search to see if other sites have them. Libraries in the local area may also have donated copies. Finally, check eBay https://www.ebay.com.
3. Record your memories. Once you have identified photographs, memorabilia, and yearbook pages of interest, use the Vivid-Pix® Memory Station https://www.vivid-pix.com/memorystation to scan images or objects, edit the digitized files with Vivid-Pix® Restore, and record the memories associated with them into a shareable story.
By going through this process, you will be surprised at the memories that will come flooding back to you and will prepare you for meeting up with individuals you may not have seen for decades and provide some wonderful conversation starters.
