The Posey Descendants National Family Celebration in Edgefield County, South Carolina, a connecting part of the Aiken/Augusta metropolitan statistical area towns known as Edgefield, Johnston, and Trenton to commemorate the lives of the early Nineteenth Century ancestors, Thomas and Nicie Posey, and Love and Dicie Medlock. The celebration, sponsored by the Posey Descendants National Family Association and its sponsors, will include education and training, historic site tours, and an inauguration ceremony. National family members will gather as descendants of 19 children of the two of the forebearers born in the mid-to-late Nineteenth-Century.
