Ask the Hospitality Answerman!

Dean Miller, National Sales Manager for Visit Fairfax in Fairfax County, Virginia, graciously agreed to answer a reader’s hotel-related question a couple of years ago, and hasn’t stopped since.

Before joining Visit Fairfax in 2005, Dean represented hotels throughout the National Capital area for fifteen years, giving him almost a quarter century of hospitality, meeting, and convention experience. He is a HUGE fan of reunions and is eager to work with reunion groups looking to meet in Fairfax County, directly across the Potomac River from Washington, DC. At Visit Fairfax, he hosts an annual reunion planning workshop each February, which always includes a tour of a local attraction. What better person to be our Hospitality Answerman?

You can contact Dean directly at (703) 752-9509 or at dmiller@fxva.com.

Dean has asked us the note the following, though – he is NOT an attorney, and the points noted in his answers below should NOT be construed as legal advice. Legal advice should be obtained only from a licensed, practicing attorney. That said, however, Dean’s experience both in hotel and convention and visitor bureau management make him uniquely qualified to share his observations.
